Cogan Taekwon-Do News |
4 students of Cogan Taekwon-do
recently sat a promotion grading under senior master
John Taylor VIII Dan. All promoted to gain their yellow
belts with Juliette Cullen gaining an A-grade promotion.
All 4 ladies have been training at Cogan Leisure Centre
for the last year under the instruction of female III
Dan, Victoria Phillips. The class in Cogan is unique in
Wales as being the only UKTA Taekwon-do female only
class. What is even more surprising is that all 4
students are classed as being veterans, in other words
over 40 years old!
Despite this they train and grade exactly as any other
Taekwon-do student. They undertake all disciplines of
Taekwon-do, including sparring, self-defence, power
breaking and patterns.
The class in Cogan Leisure Centre is held every Thursday
from 7.15-8.45pm and is open to any female aged 13 or
above.
