British Open 2004

Having made a long trip up by coach the 70 odd Welsh competitors and fans made a really good day of it, with a mix of people from most of the Schools it was a good day for the ITF Wales and got better when they took a load of medals from the various events. Great performances all round meant at the end of the day Ely School picked up overall school winner and Dean Matthews IV picked up overall Black Belt senior on top of all the days medals for our competitors. On the return trip not even the tyre blowing and hours delay on the motorway could dampen the spirits of the jubilant competitors and all arrived home late and exhausted but safe and pleased with the day.

Four Nations 2004

Wales win the Four Nations for the first time in twelve years. The ITF Wales team went to Dublin this year as undoubted underdogs for the Four Nations tournament but surprised everyone with a great display and show of effort to win the trophy for Wales for the first time in twelve years.
