went to the Welsh Open this year
with Ely as reining champs and a
great all round performance from
everyone as 16 gold, 8 silver and 9
bronze later Ely tallied up 73
points - still waiting for the
overalls but it looks good! |

and what fun, long trip -
interesting place and some nice
people - Nargus Rakhmanova our
interpreter being the main girl.
Great news for Wales with a new
World Champion in Mr Michael Barker
Veteran III dan patterns champion as
well as silver medal in sparring and
Lauren Robson a bronze medallist in
female sparring - well done guys!

total from Ely, Fairwater and
Cardiff Uni with some 23 gold, 13
silver, 8 bronze and an overall -
Beth Pezzack u13 colour belt
won between us a great showing for
Wales - Well done you all and well
done me for my first ever special
technique medal - only a bronze but
it a first for me :) |

bronze between them - well done to

| Great tournament
for Ely school, 16 gold, 6 silver
and 9 bronze between us all! The
school finished on 69 points which
means we won the English Open again
this year with Fairwater winning it
the year before us that means 3
Welsh wins in a row. I got a double
gold which now means I have managed
to do it in all the opens so go me!. |

where I learnt that I suck at
skittles and we raised over £170 for
the school so go us. |

| Great night at my
fourth Awards event, Ely did well
picking up 7 overalls and Ethan and
Daniel getting students of the year
so go them I won the new Master's
Shield so go me too. - funniest
thing all night - Emily falling over
in the dance! |
